چکیده

تاریخ و سنت زردشتی و متون فارسی زردشتی عنوان‌های دو مجلد نخست از مجموعۀ «سنت زرتشتی در روزگار اسلامی» است که هدف آن بررسی تاریخ کیش زرتشتی و جامعۀ مؤمنان آن، الگوهای مهاجرت‌های زرتشتیان و کانون‌های زرتشتی، شناخت حلقه‌ها و هیربدستان‌های پدیدآورندۀ متون و مفاهیم دینی و متولی شریعت رایج و نیز برشمردن، طبقه‌بندی، احیا، تحلیل و تفسیر میراث مکتوب زرتشتیان ایران در دورۀ اسلامی است (1: 5). مؤلف در جلد اول برای نخستین بار چارچوبی برای مطالعۀ کانون‌های تولید متون زرتشتی و مراکز دینی کیش زرتشتی در دورۀ اسلامی ایران و روابط این کانون‌ها با هم و نیز با جامعۀ پارسیان هند ارائه کرده است (همان: 6 و 7).
در جلد دوم، یعنی متون فارسی زردشتی، به‌طور مفصل به معرفی متون فارسی زرتشتی پرداخته شده که پیش از آن کلیاتی دربارۀ آن‌ها در جلد نخست آمده بود (1: 137-204). این مجلد را می‌توان جامع‌ترین فهرست موجود از آثار فارسی زرتشتی اعم از منابع خطی و چاپی در کتابخانه‌ها و مجموعه‌های ایران و هند و سایر کتابخانه‌های جهان دانست.

Zoroastrian history and tradition and Zoroastrian Persian texts, the first two volumes of the collection 'Zoroastrian tradition in the Islamic era' , aim to study the history and textual traditions of the Persian Zoroastrian community, during the Islamic era. The volumes deal with issues such as the Zoroastrians' migrations patterns and their settlement centers, the hirbadistans i.e. associations that undertook duties including the composition of the religious texts as well as setting the Zoroastrian jurisprudence. The present two volumes provide their readers with a comprehensive list of the Iranian Zoroastrians' written texts during the Islamic era of Persia, with excellent analyses of the texts.
