Modularity Approach to Language and Mind from Neurological and Linguistic Point of View

Abstract

In this paper the modularity approach to language and mind has been studied from two points of view; neurology and linguistics.
It has been shown that there are some criticisms on this approach by using the data gained from the study of aphasics and the new neuroimaging techniques used in the recent 17 years to determine the places which are activated in the brain and the ways these places act through the language tasks. The results show that we need to be very careful to accept the modularity approach, at least in the way that it has been presented in the classic model.
