The subject of the paper is about "the segments of Persian (Farsi)" in the Handbook of the International Phonetic Association: A Guide to the Use of the IPA, 1999: 124-125. A number of Iranian phonologists held three meetings to discuss the problems which were existed in the paper. They then, stated the shortcomings and incorrect information and at the end, they made it correct. This article indicates the results of the meetings discussions. هدف از نگارش این تحقیق بررسی نکته‌های مثبت و منفی در مقالۀ محمدرضا مجیدی و المار ترنز دربارۀ "واحدهای واجی زبان فارسی" در کتاب راهنمای انجمن بین‌المللی آوایی: راهنمایِ استفاده از  IPA (1999: 124-125) است. تعدادی از واج شناسان ایرانی، طی سه نشست به بحث پیرامون مسائل موجود در این مقاله پرداختند. سپس کمبودها و اشتباهات و اطلاعات غلطی که در آن وجود داشت مطرح شد و در پایان به تصحیح آن اقدام کردند. این نقد، حاصلِ مباحثِ مطرح شدۀ این سه نشست است. همچنین منابعی در نگارش این نقد مورد استفاده قرار گرفتند که در کتابنامه ذکر شده اند. https://lsi-linguistics.ihcs.ac.ir/article_1620_806beafe154032a5b818e97b4420ad98.pdf
